Handmade Earrings Materials List
- Fabric scraps
- Earring wires
- Jewelry connectors
- Jump rings
- Pliers
To make these earrings, cut some strips out of your fabric scraps. Any lightweight cotton fabric will work well for this project. You could use solid colors, a patterned fabric, or even mix and match a few different fabrics to create a unique look.
My fabric was a bit wrinkly, so I ironed it out.
(Pro tip: when you need to iron something small, just bust out your hair straightener. It’s faster & easier for ironing something this tiny!)

You’ll need some kind of connector piece to affix the fabric to. I used some cute bronze circle connectors that I found from Joann Fabrics. These ones on Amazon look like they’d do the trick as well.
Using your pliers, attach the ear wires to the connector pieces. Make sure the wires are securely closed to prevent the earring from falling apart.
Loop the fabric through the connector, and secure it with a jump ring.
The possibilities are endless with these earrings – you can mix and match the fabrics and lengths to make adorable tassels! I made them in a few more colors and am LOVING the fun boho vibe they add to an outfit.
